This is the personal newsletter of Jonathan Kissam. My day job is Communications Director for the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UE) and editor of the UE NEWS. In that capacity I cover the activities of our union, do the occasional political action update, and sometimes write longer features and book reviews about labor and working-class history, or in-depth looks into political and social issues.

This newsletter is where I write about other things that interest me: art, music, travel, culture, history, left politics, mental health … anything, really. But mostly those things. Also sometimes I share my dabbling in other creative endeavors: visual art and music. (Read about why it is called “Domestic Left” here.)

Needless to say, all opinions and so forth expressed in this newsletter are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employer (if you want to know what those are, go here).
